Japan- Hekinan Distillery, established in1949, quickly became a leading producer of Japanese whisky throughout the 1950's. The distillery closed in 1959, following 2 natural disasters. Production restarted in 2014. The name of this whiskey is "Hinotori," meaning "phoenix."
