In June 2022, Dalmore introduced a 21-year-old expression to their Principal Collection. This rare single malt initially aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, and was then hand-finished in 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks. The Dalmore 21 Years Old will be released annually in limited quantities, with just 8000 bottles in the inaugural release. This 2022 edition has a  subtle complexity, with layers of rich fruit and warm spices. On the nose, citrus sweetness from blood oranges melts into rich aromas of bitter dark chocolate, roasted coffee, pecan pie and warm vanilla pods. The palate displays sweet notes of liquorice stick, Black Forest fruits, roasted walnuts and thick marzipan. The finish lingers with layers of peach, ginseng, pear tart and blood orange.
